Heading into this basketball season, I wasn’t sure how often I would cover games. I had little experience photographing high school basketball, and I didn’t know what to expect. Now, as I prepare to head to the Tacoma Dome for the state basketball championships, I’ve already been to 29 games – and I love it.
What started as a curiosity has turned into a passion. Each game presents a unique story waiting to be told – from buzzer-beaters to team huddles, and from emotional victories to the hard-fought battles that don’t always show up on the scoreboard. Capturing these moments through sports photography has been incredibly rewarding.
Seattle prep sports offer an abundance of talent, heart, and community spirit. Whether it’s a packed gym on a Friday night or an early afternoon playoff game, I’ve found joy in freezing those fleeting moments that families, athletes, and schools will cherish for years to come.
As a Seattle sports photographer, my goal is to go beyond the action shots. I strive to capture the full experience – the intensity, camaraderie, and passion that makes prep sports special. Whether it’s a pivotal game or a milestone season, I understand how important these moments are to athletes and their families.
I’m excited to continue covering Seattle-area prep sports and am available to be hired for photography needs – from team coverage to individual athlete galleries. If you’re looking for high-quality sports photography that tells the story behind the game, let’s connect.
Thank you to all the players, coaches, and parents who have welcomed me into their communities this season. I look forward to capturing even more unforgettable moments in the weeks and months ahead.
